Social Sharing. Winnipeg's long-running multicultural festival returns this year, virtually. This year's Folklorama will run from Aug. You can't go to Folklorama, but Folklorama can come to you, says festival producer. Corrections We initially reported that this is the second year Folklorama will be done virtually.

In fact, last year there was no virtual festival programming. A community scavenger hunt and promotion of different areas of the city were done instead. Folklorama is now available to come to you, at your home, sending performers to set up in your driveway or backyard to do a show for you.

Folklorama will also come to your workplace. As people transition back into their office spaces, Folklorama can help create an environment of fun and excitement for all employees and staff members to experience.

Folklorama is also being made accessible to our schools, daycares and daycamps. It has created workshops and performances that will work with students and groups of any age to create an adventure of culture with the goal of helping students respect and appreciate cultural differences and create pride of their own all while meeting the school curriculum.

With all this incredible work, I think it is extremely important we thank the sponsors, volunteers and our four Folklorama ambassadors for this year: Calvin Loi, Donovan Martin, Vivian Shen and Jan-Michael Reyes.
